About Dr. Lee

Dr. Lee was born in Kansas City and grew up in Ohio and Massachusetts.  He attended Harvard College, graduating magna cum laude with a degree in electrical engineering.  He received his M.D. degree with honors from Yale University, where he was also awarded a Howard Hughes Medical Institute scholarship based on his research activities.  Dr. Lee completed an ophthalmology residency at the Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia followed by an ASOPRS-accredited oculoplastics fellowship at the University of Iowa in Iowa City.  Wills Eye Hospital and the University of Iowa are among the most sought-after ophthalmology training programs and are consistently ranked among the top 10 ophthalmology centers in the U.S.

After his training, Dr. Lee joined a large ophthalmology practice in Miami, Florida, where he worked for 16 years.  In 2020, Dr. Lee relocated to the Alpharetta area for family reasons.  Dr. Lee currently resides in Johns Creek with his wife and two children.  He is delighted to be working with Dr. Hannah Park at the New Hope Eye Center in Duluth and with Dr. Willie Chen at the Chen Eye Center in Norcross.

Dr. Lee is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.  He is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.  He has authored numerous scientific articles and book chapters and has been selected as one of the Best Doctors in America® by his peers.  Dr. Lee has also been named a Top Doctor South Florida® and a South Florida Super Doctor®.  He has been awarded the Patients’ Choice Award® and the 2022 Best of Johns Creek Award®.
